Born in the mid-60s and reaching my teenage years in the late 70s, it was easy for me to fall in love with music. The plethora of songs that came from all genres, from pop, rock, soul, glam, disco to name but a few, were to be the foundation of what has now evolved into Coast Smooth. The idea was to combine songs that would take you to a place where you could relax, reminisce, and immerse yourself in your happy place. The songs you will hear on Coast Smooth will allow you to unwind into a world of music from established and new artists. You will hear and remember favourites, and you will also experience songs that I’ve grown up with, which perhaps passed you by in your busy lives, but are here now for you to enjoy and fall in love with. Music is my passion, and both Carl and I hope you enjoy this journey with us. Come along for the ride!

What Ian said, but born in the mid-70s! :-) Being serious for a second, I'd love for this channel to be a place you can hear music you'd forgotten about but quickly realise you've missed hearing, or where you hear a song or artist you've not heard before and think "Whoa! How have I not heard this before!? It's amazing!". You'll hear some known songs, of course, but we're not shy of those deep cuts, or the album tracks that should really have been hits (usually track 7)....and the odd instrumental here and there. Conventional? Us?? Never!

The planet is somewhat large and there are many timezones so, our schedule runs to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) but whatever timezone you're in, we hope you hear something you love.
